… a UK based mum of 2 and digital content creator. You might know me from instagram as Rebecca Loves. I’ve been addicted to taking photos & documenting everything on the instagram and blogging scene since around 2012 when I started my lifestyle blog called Roses and Rolltops, it covered everything from weddings to interiors, food, fashion and my biggest love - travel. Things evolved into motherhood when I had my first baby, Freya, in 2019 and then I had my son Raffy in 2021 and I kept instagram up but pretty much stopped blogging altogether to focus on my small children.

It felt like the format of the internet had changed a lot from the original blogging days, suddenly everyone’s attention spans got shorter and it became about TikTok and a bombardment of catchy reels. But actually when I’m planning a trip I still reach for travel blogs, they offer so much more information at a pace that’s easier to jot things down from. I’ve shared so many trips on my instagram that I know followers love to follow and book trips from but it’s often hard to scroll back through a couple of year’s worth of feed posts or story highlights so I’ve been wanting to create this space for a while now to have everything in one place, easily searchable and indexable.

Before children I was a honeymoon reviewer (I know, what a role!!) for one of the biggest UK wedding blogs and I was also one of the anonymous reviewers for Mr & Mrs Smith hotels which was a lot of fun. My husband and I travelled the world before children, it’s our biggest shared passion and whilst it’s different now to the lack of boutique adults only hotels & involves a lot more packing, it’s the best thing ever to see the world through their eyes! It might be parenting in another place at times but boy is it dreamier doing it with a view and without the pressures of home.

Hello, I’m Rebecca…

My children are 5 and a half and 3 and a half at the time of writing in early 2025 and they’ve been travelling since they were 6 weeks old. My daughter had been to New York and Australia before she was even 6 months. Whilst you need a bit more equipment when they’re tiny, I do feel like it’s the easiest time to travel with them before they’re on the move and before you have to worry about nap schedules. All ages bring their pros and cons, it feels like we’re just getting out the other side where we don’t need to pack nappies, don’t need to worry about naps anymore and they can just about start to carry their own bags and with that comes their excitement for airplanes and waking up in new places, discovering new foods and languages and cultures. We have some huge trips planned for 2025 that I can’t wait to bring you along on!

Travel is genuinely when I’m happiest and my favourite pastime is planning a trip somewhere, researching every single detail. I’ve become known for my savvy tips that can make things a lot better value and for covering all of the logistics that travelling with babies and children bring.

We love a mix of camping for the best childhood freedom (my husband has converted a folding caravan & his latest project is a trailer) to self catering Airbnb’s to save money to all inclusive resorts where you don’t need to think about anything.

Whilst we love discovering new places, we’re known for often going back to some of our favourite destinations (Southern California, the Ile de Re in France, Mallorca, Western Australia to name a few) time after time as they bring so much joy but I’ve got a big list of places we’re so keen to explore for the first time. We’re very lucky that my husband and I are both self employed so we don’t have to worry about holiday allowances and can work from anywhere in the world.

I’ll gradually be adding all of our trips and itineraries on here - I’ve got years to go back & write up as well as our future trips - and top travel tips. If you have any questions, big or small (trust me, I am here for minutiae from resort dinner times to transfers to what we did about car seats and the like) please comment and I’ll get back to you. You can find my Instagram here with lots of content too.

Thank you so much for reading!
